Fátima Vicente Silva

Born in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores, she moved to Lisbon, where she resides.

With academic training in the areas of literature, languages ​​and technologies, she took a journey through photography, having completed a course at the Portuguese Institute of Photography, as well as several workshops.

Photographer, with a particular focus on black and white photography and more focused on street photography, it was from this path that she also embarked on the visual arts: she produces a mixed work of acrylic and collages on canvas, the majority of which are collages images or photo clippings of her own.

Participation in some projects that she highlights: Permanent Exhibition “Monte da Rosada – before and after”, 2015 (project based on the reconstruction from the Monte da Rosada property, Aldeia dos Arcos, Estremoz); FY16 Arruda dos Vinhos – Photographic meeting with Collective Exhibition in Morgado Cultural Center; EF18 Mafra/Ericeira – Photographic Meeting with a Collective Street Exhibition in Jardim da Ericeira; "An image Solidária”, Lisbon and Porto, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023; “Exhibition at Jardim” – Coletiva, Lisbon, 2019; Collective Exhibition “50 photographs – A Secret life of words”, Oeiras, 2021; Exhibition “On the Path of the City”, integrated into “Instantes’21” – International Photography Festival Avintes, 2021; “Art of Photography” Exhibition, Espelho D’Água, 2022; Collective Exhibition of Members of Associação Cultural Instantes 2021 and 2023.

Participation in several international collective exhibitions, namely at the Valid World Hall, Barcelona (2021); Kontrast Galleri, Stockholm (2022); Bangkok Art Culture Center, Bangkok (2022); Modeka Gallery, Manila (2022), among others. Her work has been published in magazines such as “Digital Camera World” and in national and foreign websites.
